On January 6, 2008, Topeka lost one of the best musicians in the area. Dan Falley died in a tragic car accident that Sunday night. (Capitol Journal article). In addition to running Dan's Guitar Shop and teaching countless numbers of students guitar lessons, Dan was just a good guy. He had a big heart, and we are all going to miss him terribly. The following Friday there was a memorial concert at the Sixth Avenue Ballroom, and then a week and a half later, we put on this all day jam at the place where almost all in attendance had either jammed with Dan or enjoyed listening to the jams. Enjoy here three pages of pics from that all day Sunday jam.
