| On January 6, 2008, Topeka lost one of the best musicians in the area. Dan Falley died in a tragic car accident that Sunday night. (Capitol Journal article). In addition to running Dan's Guitar Shop and teaching countless numbers of students guitar lessons, Dan was just a good guy. He had a big heart, and we are all going to miss him terribly. The following Friday there was a memorial concert at the Sixth Avenue Ballroom, and then a week and a half later, we put on this all day jam at the place where almost all in attendance had either jammed with Dan or enjoyed listening to the jams.
